I've been a Weight Watchers member since April 2, 2005. On that day, I went to the doctors office for my annual physical. Up until that day, whenever I went to the doctors, I was weighed in by a nurse or nurse's assistant and I always told them that I did not want to know my weight. I would close my eyes, turn around, whatever..anything to avoid seeing or hearing what I weighed. This particular morning, however, I was weighed in by my doctor. When I told her that I didn't want to know my weight, she said "No. I will not let that happen. You NEED to know your weight." I argued and pleaded with her and she said "You have to face your weight. You are obese." I was shocked at first, but then I agreed with her. I needed to know. I thought "It can't be THAT bad! I bet it's about 225/230 at the most." I was STUNNED to learn that I was 290. I sat in her office and cried. She told me that she and her husband had both lost 60 pounds on Weight Watchers and I should give it a try. So I did. Immediately after I left the doctors office, I went straight to a WW meeting and I haven't stopped going since. I've lost a total of 70 pounds so far and I feel wonderful. I still have around 50 pounds left before I reach my goal but I have no doubt in my mind that I will reach it.

Oh yeah, and I curse like a fucking sailor. Don't like it? Don't read it.
